Ringmaster in A Peculiar Story from michael parks on Vimeo.
The Circus scene for A Peculiar story. The animation of the Ringmaster is to be in the style of a puppet with limited animation involved. It is the first time I have tried animating in After Effects, found it easier than I had imagined.

Self Writing from michael parks on Vimeo.
A quick test of self writing in After Effects. Could be used for the title sequence for A Peculiar Story. Again I keep forgetting to tell After Effects how long I want the file to be, I dont know why I think 30 seconds is a good idea.

Sc37: The Jam Thief
This scene was coloured over the Christmas holidays. With the dissertation over I could then get cracking on more colouring scenes. When I look back now I can see my speed of colouring has improved. Please forgive the random red square, I have no clue what that is. Some time in the next week or so I shall composite these scenes into After Effects, a program that I am still currently learning.

Sc36: The Jam Thief

I struggled with this scene to hand in on time because it was the time when my laptop had broken down in November. Just five weeks before hand in my lovely Mac broke. This set me back quite a bit as this was not only my work station for my animation work but it was also my workstation for my dissertation. My work was not lost however it did stop me for doing colouring work at home for six weeks or so.
Sc13: The Jam Thief. Finished scene 13. The colouring for The Jam Thief is not as straight forward as it seemed. Once I receive any scene I have to scan each frame and layer, there is no batch scanner which means this does take some time. After that it is to photoshop to straighten up the scanned frames and to begin colouring. To explain this better I shall upload a video capture of the different processes I go through to create a finished coloured scene later on. The timing of this is a little off. I composited most of the scenes in Flash, the timing is a little slow however you still see what is happening. This is only because I composited the scene in Flash and exported it as a Quicktime just to show on here. The final scene is fine. :)
